Lipstick is our “go-to” makeup item when we want to quickly pull our look together, and it’s also an important part of a more detailed makeup regimen. However we choose to use it, lipstick has been the most popular form of makeup for decades and there is no indication that this will change any time soon. Wearing lipstick can be a pain. All of the meticulous applying and reapplying, plus all of the prep work that comes beforehand. But when it comes down to it, stepping out in a bright shade of lipstick is 100 percent worth the minor trouble. Trust us, it’s not about looking good for other people — there are plenty of reasons why wearing lipstick can make you feel great.
If your eyes are your best feature and you really want them to stand out, or if they are not your best feature and you need something to make them pop, it has the effect of making your eyes really stand out. It enhances the color of your eyes, and that in turn makes your eyes look bigger. As with the other benefits of wearing it, your choice of color is important, so make sure to choose the right shade of lipstick that will enhance your eyes
DEFINE YOUR LIPS
Let’s not forget one of the most obvious benefits; it makes your lips look great. It can make your lips look fuller and plumper, and if it’s your preference, correctly applied lipstick can also make your lips appear less full or smaller than they actually are. Because attention is focused on your lips, the eyes are drawn to them and away from the outline of your face, so your face will actually appear thinner.
PROTECTS AND HEALS
It can protect our lips from the elements, especially the cold and wind, by forming a protective barrier for your lips. If your lips were already in trouble, the right lipstick will also help to repair cracked, dry lips. It’s all in choosing the right lipstick. If these are benefits that you crave – and who doesn’t need to have soft, supple, and smooth lips? – then choose a lipstick that contains natural oils and emollients to deliver the moisture that you need.
Lips have very different composition then the rest of our skin. It lacks melanin, substance that protects us from the harmful UV rays, and because of that wearing sun protecting lipstick can greatly reduce the chance of skin cancer. However, only matte and opaque lipsticks with SPF of 15 higher can be effective in this, but glossy and shimmery lipsticks works in totally different way, actually attracting harmful radiation and intensifying the irradiation of the lips.

Make-up can be very intimidating and make-up brushes can be even more intimidating!. It goes without saying that a good make-up artiste is nothing without their tools. The best rushes will render application effortless and optimize the performance of your make-up products to their full potential. Stippling, angled, fan and contour – which brush is to be used with which makeup product? Worry not, I am here to give you a run down on all you need to know about makeup brushes in order to survive in the big world of makeup.
The primary function of a foundation brush is to facilitate the smooth application of your base or foundation onto the skin. Using a brush of good quality makes all the difference in the world. Opting for a wrong brush can make you appear cakey and washed over. A high-quality foundation brush will allow you to blend the foundation out smoothly so that you can buff the product into the skin, giving it the most natural look.

2. CONCEALER BRUSHES
A concealer brush is perfect for spot correction. As the name suggests, the use of concealer brushes is to even out concealers – to make the product look as natural as it can on the skin. While using a concealer brush, never blend it out. You should never move the product around, but carefully pat the product onto the skin to conceal the area.
3. ANGLED BLUSH BRUSHES
An angled blush brush enables the precise application of the blush. The angled shape of the brush allows it to pick up the product and dust it onto the cheeks ever so softly so that it looks natural.'
4. CONTOUR BRUSHES
Contouring is one thing that, at any cost, can not be done without a brush. And if you manage to do it, you’d probably end up looking like a clay sculpture. Quite a few people use a blush brush for contouring. A contour brush will have firmer bristles than a blush brush, and a more angled tip. It is specially designed to help you target the areas that you want to contour and shape.

Most people already know how to pick out the best makeup brushes, but how about a brush for your lashes or brows? Of course, you can use the wand that comes with the product when you purchase it, but if you are extremely specific on how you want your lashes to look, then a mascara brush is the way to go.

Behind every fantastic wedding is a team of top notch vendors. They spend countless hours helping the bride and the groom solidify their vision, executing all of the detail according to plan and, in the event of a last-minute glitch, stepping in to smooth things over so that guests and even the couples are even surprised. Getting professionals that are best for your budget, style and personality but be difficult but there are some few tips on how to choose the perfect wedding vendors.
Wedding Event organised by Inenlimited (@inenlimited)
Do you know anyone who has used the wedding vendors product or service?. You don't have to know them personally, but more often than not, people are willing to share their experience about a product or service with anyone. There are several ways you can get this information from your prospects previous clients. The easiest option is to ask friends and family. Ask her how was the cake?, Was the DJ good?, How fab did the brides makeup look at end of the day? She will be willing to indulge you. Another way you can get recommendations is by reading comments, feedback and testimonials on your potential vendors websites and social media pages written by previous clients. Obviously you must trust that the person you getting your info from is legit, genuine and unbiased. Finally, you can ask other vendors for recommendations, after all, they are in the industry and have worked with some and know a wide range of wedding vendors as well.
So I noticed this is one of the most difficult topics for couples to discuss here in Ghana, but it really shouldn’t be. If I came to you that it’ll cost GHS4,000 for your wedding photography, you’re going to have one of two reactions; a) OMG!!! For just photography??!! My uncle’s father’s wife’s grand auntie’s cousin’s nephew can take pics for way less!! OR b) Okay, that’s reasonable. Is it negotiable? With either reaction, you know how much you want (or don’t want) to spend on photography. That is a budget. So be realistic. Go down your vendor list and be truthful to yourself what you can and cannot afford and know that if you’re determined, you will find a vendor that will fit your budget as long as your numbers are reasonable. By reasonable, I mean DO NOT take a photograph of a very elaborate flower wall you saw on Bella Naija and expect your decorator to replicate that for GHS500, but rather, ask if you can get a flower wall for GHS500 inspired by that photograph.

It’s a definite plus when your vendor has foresight. Experience is definitely an added bonus but having a vendor who can anticipate your event needs can save you money and is an advantage to your dream team. For example, a drinks vendor with this quality can decide to scout your venue way ahead to know that the venue provides a facility to chill your drinks or a freezer or chiller at no additional cost. This way they won’t have to charge you extra for chillers and/or transportation. You should be able to tell if your vendor has foresight during your initial chat with them, if you ask the right questions.
Music to every couples’ ears! Who doesn’t love a good discount?! It does not hurt to ask vendors for discounts! This goes hand in hand with your budget. You can’t budget 100 for an item and ask for a 50% discount on a 200 priced product or service. Again, being reasonable is key. Many vendors are willing to give discounts. See which event partner would give you the best discount or can negotiate a good deal for you and let that guide your decision to finalize!
5. DELIVERY TIMES
Say you’re relocating outside the country a month after your wedding and you want your wedding pictures, prints and all, before you leave. It’d be good to confirm with your photographer if the delivery timeline is realistic for them. You may get your photographs earlier or later depending on the photography company and their practices.
Speaking to various vendors (I’d recommend 2-3 per vendor category) is a good step to helping you narrow down and finalize your event team. It is very important that you have a good relationship with your vendors. You don’t have to be best friends, you just need to be able to communicate your wants and needs to your vendors in a respectful manner that’ll help them help you pull off your dream wedding.
