Pre-wedding photo shoots are in vogue now and hardly will you see a wedding take place without a pre-wedding shoot by the couple. According to some, Pre wedding photo shoots are something that every couple must opt for, because getting married is that perfect phase in your life and so the period building up to your "big day" needs to be captured to remind you of the romance and love you guys share.
The trend of pre-wedding photography has spread like wildfire in Africa especially in Ghana and Nigeria, And why not, in the era where good photos determine your social image, it's bound to happen.
Weddings may be steeped in tradition but times have changed and so has the wedding landscape. In the age of wedding hash tags and relationship statuses, wedding photography too has evolved. We are always on the look out for new and exciting trends within the wedding industry, and one such trend is the themed Pre-Wedding photos. We would all agree that 6 years ago the pre wedding photos were more like a lady sitting down and placing her hands on the shoulder of the man (showing of her engagement ring). Now, current generations are looking for new trends and are adding extra spice and glamour to their pre-wedding photos capturing their personalities, showcasing style, class and most importantly capturing their love story.
Today, couples scout for locations, and themes for their shoot and want to make it one of the most special events of their wedding. Some couples simply leave it on the photographer to unleash his creativity and capture their love in a beautiful way. According some photographers, pre wedding shoot is another way of spending quality time with the couple, as their wedding photographer.
On the other hand, I have seen many bizarre shots that makes me question the entire procedure and its necessity. Are pre wedding shoots really necessary before you tie the knot? What are the benefits?, Is it a compulsory ritual that couples have to do before the main event? Is it a way of announcing their wedding dates, maybe a way to share photos and create awareness for the wedding.
Regardless, pre wedding photo shoot is done based on the couples discretion, so if you love the idea, please go ahead and slay! but if you are not enthused by this trend, please keep it simple and straight forward. After all, pre wedding shoots isn't an endeavour every couple must undertake.

Most of us have experienced an acne flare up when stress is on the rise. Research shows that stress and breakouts are directly linked.
Skin breakouts occur when there is an over production of oil which often results in a clogged pore, and the growth of bacteria inside. Breakouts include acnes; pimples, black heads, white heads and zits in one particular area of the face.
The hormonal cycle can tighten our pores and cause acnes but most times sudden breakouts on the skin are caused mainly by stress.
Here are some few things you can do to prevent and reduce skin breakout caused as a result of stress:
A healthy diet is an important part of beauty. Eating healthy and regularly, drinking lots of water will help reduce hunger and dehydration. Without doing the fore mentioned, your skin will not receive the nutrients it needs. You can also balance your diet with nutrients and vitamins by taking nutritional supplements like Omega 3.
Many people mistakenly believe that avoiding moisturizers, lotions or using oil free products will prevent oily skin and clear breakouts. Not so! Drying the skin out will further stimulate the oil glands to produce more oil to compensate for the loss, whereas maintaining a balanced moisture level will keep the skin healthy.
Seriously guys: quit staying up all night and get a good night’s sleep. It helps the body recharge, keeps stress levels down and reduces the possibility of breakouts. Sleeping eight hours is highly recommended.
Acne and pimples start because of clogged pores because of dead cells and this leads to blackheads and blemishes. While we all wash our faces every day, we need to exfoliate regularly to remove dead cell debris and dirt clogged in pores.
Limit your sugar, caffeine, and alcohol intake or whatever you’ve been eating a lot of that you think could be contributing to your acne. Besides making you feel awful, excess alcohol, greasy food, and other unhealthy foods intake will strip your body of vitamins and are terrible harmful to your skin.
Often times when we’re stressed out. We tend to revert to bad habits like touching our skin or picking at already existing pimples. That is a major no-no. “Do not pick your face or put your hands on your face transferring bacteria to the skin, ultimately creating an environment for acne. Stop practicing finger surgery on your skin.
Spend 10 -20 minutes engaged in physical exercise each day- it doesn’t have to be a gym routine, just going for a brisk wall or taking a bike is great. And for men a good workout not only improves your physiques, but also makes you feel good.
It’s definitely not the easiest thing in the world to manage stress- especially when so many things in life are out of control, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to take steps in the right direction. There is no harm in trying to reduce your stress levels by taking the day off and do something that you find relaxing. Try to find your chill zone and go there at least once in a day. And deep breathing seriously helps.
